Our Story
Since June 2024, I’ve had numerous coffee chats with people from different backgrounds. Through these conversations, I noticed that many members of the new generation overseas prioritize growing their LinkedIn connections. Even after attending various talks and forums, most interactions remain surface-level—saying hi, posting on social media, and adding contacts—without delving into meaningful conversations. This type of "connection" rarely fosters real growth or inspiration.
As an INTP myself, I graduated from the University of Sydney. My journey has taken me from being an iOS developer in Sydney to a product manager in China, then to a project manager at a multinational corporation, and now, to exploring the path of entrepreneurship overseas. A fixed career path has never bound me; I embrace trying new things and tackling unknown challenges. Looking back, what truly shaped my growth weren’t the job titles or transitions, but the deep conversations I had along the way—conversations with people from different countries, fields, and cultures, who shared their unique experiences, perspectives, and insights with me.
These dialogues offered much more than career advice. Often, they sparked new ideas, opened doors I hadn’t considered, and led to transformative moments. Sometimes, all it takes is a single coffee chat to ignite inspiration or change your way of thinking. What we truly need isn’t superficial “connections,” but meaningful exchanges—sharing knowledge, perspectives, and opportunities to grow and thrive.
In my experience, one profound coffee chat is far more valuable than attending a hundred lectures or forums. This belief inspired the creation of Remoera.
We aim to build a community that helps break information silos. Here, every member joins intending to accept and participate in coffee chat invitations. This removes the awkwardness of cold-messaging strangers on LinkedIn and eliminates the aimless searching for opportunities at forums.
