Mandatory Benefits
Mandatory benefits in China includes: medical care benefits, unemployment benefits, work-injury and disability benefits, retirement benefits, workers compensation, maternity benefits, and sick leave.
Termination
Terminations in China can be complex. There is no at-will termination in China for employers outside the probation period, and termination must be done for just cause.
Statutory Leave & Probation
Full-time employees are entitled to 5 to 15 days of paid leave a year, based on the length of employment.
Probation Periods are not mandatory. The minimum probation period is 3 months and the maximum is 6 months.
